In conversation, Jane and I were considering whether, on balance, all this technology is a good thing. It was said that it would simplify our lives (and simplicty is one of the things we value in Lindisfarne). But, truth be told, our lives are more complex. Today we had problems printing. Then my iBook broke. It needs to go back to Apple. Then we began to realize again how slow our aging computer system is . . . . Oh, for simplicity!
Yet . . . we have made enduring friendships through the Net. We keep in contact with family and friends around the world. The Lindisfarne Community is growing and the Net has played a signficant part in connecting us.
A tool, then, for the Realm of God. But a stumbling block if we are not careful.

Peace and all good,

Ab. + Andrew
